The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney & Affiliated Regions was honoured to host the Coptic Opening of the Law Term 2026, a blessed gathering of judges, magistrates, barristers, politicians, clergy, and community leaders
We were privileged to hear the keynote address from His Honour Judge Shereef Habib SC and to welcome Michael Kirby AC CMG; Sarah Huggett, Chief Judge of the NSW Supreme Court; Christopher O’Brien AM; Francois Kunc; Michael Slattery AM (Mil) RAN; and His Honour Magistrate Simon Joyner, alongside our valued political guests Hon. Michael Daley MP, NSW Attorney General, Hon. Mark Coure MP, Hon. Hugh McDermott MP, Hon. Damien Tudehope, and David Moncrieff MP.
