H.G Trip to Damascus (27th of January to 2nd of February 2008)

His Grace Bishop Daniel together with His Eminence Metropolitan Bishoy, Bishop of Damietta and Bar'aree, attended the fifth plenary of joint meetings between the Oriental Orthodox Family and Roman Catholic Church, in Damascus from the 27th of January to the 2nd of February 2008. The conference was very successful.

HG Bishop Daniel held a meeting with the Sydney Diocese Coptic Organisations (SDCO) at the Diocese on Friday 19 October to discuss Agaphy TV.

With over 100 graduates attending and being rewarded for their successful achievements and accomplishments in 2006, the COYA Graduation for 2007 was held at St Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, Bexley on Sunday the 11th March. Each graduate was rewarded with an e-reference DVD, personalised candle and certificate.

In the second trip to Brisbane of His Grace Bishop Daniel on 22nd and 23 of March 2007, His Grace met with the Manager of the Planning Committee of Beaudesert Council regarding the final plans for the building of the St. Mary & St. Anthony Monastery in Brisbane.

On Friday 2/3/2007 at 2:00pm, His Grace Bishop Daniel together with Very Reverend Father Tadros Simon the Vicar General and members of the GAB, presenting Mr. Tarek Abu Senna, the Egyptian Consulate General a Letter of the Protestation of the General Advisory Board of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney and its Affiliated Regions addressed to Mr. Mohamed Hosny Moubarak, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, regarding the article published in Rose El Yussef magazine by George Bibawi.

HG Bishop Daniel attended the Media Committees Annual General Meeting at St Mary & St Mina's Cathedral at Bexley on Thursday 15 February.

During the AGM Rev Fr Matthew Attia was nominated as the new coordinator of the Media Committee. Fr Matthew will be taking over from Fr Gabriel.

Christmas Mass

On Saturday 6 January 07, His Grace Bishop Daniel prayed the Midnight Praise and Christmas Mass at St Mary & St Mercurious Church at Rhodes.

During the service, His Grace consecrated some utensils for the altar, as well as ordaining two boys to the rank of 'Singer".
